🏄 Tahoe Paddle Racing Series

For those who love experiencing Lake Tahoe from the water, the Tahoe Paddle Racing Series offers a fun and welcoming atmosphere for paddlers of all skill levels. With events held throughout the summer on Lake Tahoe and Donner Lake, participants can enjoy Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP), Prone Paddleboarding, and OCI races while taking in breathtaking mountain and lake views.

Family-friendly and spectator-friendly, the series supports the Lake Tahoe Waterman Association, making it a great way to have fun while giving back to the local community.

🌊 Thunderbird Paddling Festival

Held each June at Sand Harbor, the Thunderbird Paddling Festival attracts paddleboarders, kayakers, and water sports enthusiasts from across the region. Choose from the 4-Mile Race, 8-Mile Race, or the challenging Big Blue Waterman Challenge, which combines swimming, paddleboarding, and running. Kids can join the action too with the Youth “GROM” Races for ages 5–12. Awards are presented to top finishers, making this one of Tahoe’s most exciting water events.

🚢 TCDA Annual Gala on the Tahoe Gal

Spend a spectacular evening cruising Lake Tahoe aboard the historic Tahoe Gal paddlewheeler. This annual fundraiser for the Tahoe City Downtown Association begins with Happy Hour festivities before guests set sail for a sunset cruise featuring wine, appetizers, live music, and panoramic lake views. It’s a wonderful evening of community, entertainment, and breathtaking scenery.

🍷 Wine on the Water – June 21

Support the Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe while enjoying exceptional wines, delicious food, and live music at Wine on the Water in Kings Beach. The Grand Tasting and Dinner Series make this one of North Lake Tahoe’s most anticipated summer fundraising events. A perfect opportunity to enjoy Tahoe’s culinary scene while supporting local youth programs.

☀️ Tahoe City Summer Solstice Festival

Welcome summer Tahoe-style during the annual Tahoe City Summer Solstice Festival. This multi-day celebration features a farmers market, classic car show, wine walk, outdoor concerts, and community gatherings leading up to the longest day of the year.

Dance barefoot on Commons Beach as the sun sets over Lake Tahoe, sample local wines, browse artisan vendors, and experience the charm of Tahoe City. Whether you attend one event or the entire festival, it’s a memorable way to kick off summer.
